Lizard King Records was first established in 2001 by Martin Heath and Dominic Hardisty.  The label's most notable success was signing and launching the career of The Killers in the UK.

In 2005 Martin and Dom parted company.  Martin retains the rights to use the Lizard King brand, whilst Dom maintains the relationship with The Killers and has renamed the original company Marrakesh Records.  The two businesses no longer maintain any formal links, but we remain on friendly terms.
